Learn to Lead and Sing Kirtan

The last Friday of the month is Kirtan (chanting) at the SYC London.

Krishnadhyanam will be returning to India in October and Mahesh will be leaving soon so we need more people willing to lead the chanting during the autumn and winter months.

Without people willing to lead, there will be no kirtan.

The chants are simple, no musical training is required but it does require someone to lead.

Yes, it can be a daunting and challenging experience, but it is also extremely rewarding and - once over the initial nervousness - it can be very satisfying.

This ‘Kirtan leading for dummies’ course will run during the next few months. No previous experience is necessary. All that is required is a willingness to sing and a desire to take a more active part in keeping the kirtan sessions going.

Cost: £12 / class

Regular attendance will be encouraged and it is not necessary to be able to play the harmonium, although you will develop a basic skill during the sessions.

Contact KD at krishnadhyanam@hotmail.com or leave a message with your contact details at the centre.

There is also a similar class with KD at TreeHouse Yoga Studio, Southfields near Wimbledon on Tuesdays. Contact KD for more info.
