Ganesh – his symbols and worship
Ganesh, Ganapati, the well-loved elephant headed god of the Indian tradition and all he represents will be the focus of this day.
He is the remover of obstacles on the material and spiritual paths, the lord of the people, lover of good food, music and dance, he has been given the task of looking after us on our journey.
Ganesh is always approached first with new ventures and projects, new houses, marriages, businesses, spiritual sadhana; whatever it may be, it begins with Ganesh.
In the tantric system, the deity is a symbol and there are techniques and practices to invoke, harness and express the energies of this symbol in this world.
We will explore these symbolic meanings and through practising asana, pranayama, mudra, bandha, together with mantra, meditation and song we will aim to find some resonance with this energy and its expression in our lives.
This London workshop is now fully booked. Brahmananda is running the same workshop in Saltburn on October 20th. Click here for more details.
