This is a training course for yoga teachers of six day seminar across six months in Harrogate with Swami Vedantananda.

Cost
£425
A deposit of £200 to be paid on acceptance to the course.
Balance to be paid by 3rd June 2019.

Aims
To offer a well-structured course on Yoga Nidra that gives a sound basis for teachers to teach it.
To give teachers the opportunity to experience the practice of Yoga Nidra for themselves.

Objectives
To fully explore and discover the practice from experience
To understand the theory and science behind it.
To look at the potential of Yoga Nidra in various situations.

Suitable for
Teachers from other traditions who have discovered Yoga Nidra and wish to learn and understand more about it, thus enabling them to teach the practice.

Satyananda trained teachers, those closely associated with Satyananda Yoga, trained assessors and those working in areas of special needs.

Requirements
Must already be an active yoga teacher.

Course requirements
Attend all seminars
Do the daily practice as set
Complete the home study assignments as required

Duration
Over a period of six months, a total of six day seminars making a total of 36 contact hours.
Each day will begin at 10AM and finish at 5PM.
Homework will comprise at least five hours study between seminars and daily practice of Yoga Nidra during the course.

How to teach the practice
The need for relaxation
The potential of Yoga Nidra – applications and responsibilities
The use of voice and language

Teaching methods
Lectures, practice, experience, group discussions, plenary sessions, group work.

Assessment
Ongoing assessment throughout the course, home study and assignments, including recording of the stages of the practice leading to at least one complete practice

Delivering of parts of the practice during the course.

Qualification
A certificate will be issued on successful completion of the course qualifying the participants to teach Yoga Nidra.
