I'm new to yoga

We offer classes and courses suitable for beginners or students who may not have practised yoga for a while and feel a bit rusty. We encourage regular weekly attendance so that you gain a solid, methodical foundation in Satyananda yoga practices.

I've done yoga before

If you've done yoga before, we still recommend that you start off in a class below your current level. This will allow you to learn key Satyananda yoga practices, such as pawanmuktasana series and yoga nidra, plus pranayama and meditation techniques which many yoga schools do not teach at all.

I'm a yoga teacher

We offer a range of weekend events and BWY-recognised in service training days, suitable for qualified yoga teachers. If you are from another yoga tradition, you may also be interested in learning the cleansing practices (shatkarma), including shankhaprakshalana (full intestinal cleanse) which we conduct in Spring and Autumn each year. See the latest paper newsletter for details.

I'm pregnant

Yoga is wonderful to do at this time in your life. It can ease discomfort due to the extra weight you are carrying, teach you techniques that enable you to stay calm and relaxed, and help you to focus on your pregnancy. See our weekly timetable for timings and costs.

Pregnancy classes are taught by Shaktimurti. Her yoga website includes a very useful section on frequently asked questions on pregnancy and also her contact details if you would like to ask her any questions or have concerns about pregnancy yoga.
